Duties & responsibilities: A cardiologist is someone in the medical field who provides health care to patients with heart disorders. They will diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases and many will perform both minor and major surgeries.

Salary: 522,875 to 360,000 a year.

Education: must have a bachelor's degree in order to get into medical school. The most logical pre-med bachelor degrees include courses in chemistry, mathematics, engineering or psychology.
